5G Technology 

The fifth-generation cellular wireless technology 5G is the wave of wireless technology surpassing the 4G network that’s currently used.  In 5G cellular network service area divided into small geographical areas which are called cells. These cells are connected to the internet and telephone network by Radio waves through a local antenna in the cell. The previous generation brought 1G (cell phones), 2G (text message), 3G (online capabilities), and 4G (faster speed). The advantage of the fifth generation is that it has to have a great bandwidth, and so this will giving the faster speed download speed.

The main aim of this technology is to deliver the data rate 10 to 100 times faster than 4G. Because 5G has increased bandwidth and it has more responsive, so 5G not only serves in cellphones but also used for internet providers in laptop and desktop computers. It can also compete with existing ISPs such as cable internet and this will make new applications in IoT and M2M areas. 


5G networks work up to three, medium, three bands to ensure extensive service. The 5G network consists of three different types of cells. Each cell requires a different antenna and each type offers different trades of download speed vs. distance and service area. Current mobile phones with 5G low band run on frequencies like 600-700 MHz, so 4G mobile offers faster download speeds of 30-250 Mbps per second. The 5G with a mid-band operates at a frequency of 2.5-2.7 GHz and has a download speed of 100-900 Mbps. The high band in 5G runs at a frequency of 25-39 GHz so its download speed is 13 Gbps.

  • 5G is designed to do things that could change our lives, including providing us with faster download speeds, lower delays, and virtual reality (VR), IoT, and more for billions of devices Artificial Intelligence (AI).

At the end, 5G technology is important not only because it has the potential to support millions of devices at ultra-soft speeds, but also because it has the potential to change the lives of people around the world. Improvements in 5G technology can help improve lives and decrease the risk associated with this technology.
